Stars Ink Deal With George Holt

The Blue Water Stars Professional Hockey Club is pleased to share that we have signed George Holt for the remainder of the 2023/2024 MIHL season. Holt, who hails from Rochester Hills, Michigan, will join his brother Griffin as a top line forward for the Stars in the teams quest for an MIHL Championship.

This signing comes as one of the many the team has seen in the past few weeks, and it is no secret throughout the hockey world that President Austin Dunn and VP Melissa Dauphinais have taken the next step to make sure the Stars are competing at the highest level. "Austin, Melissa, and myself have been in nonstop communication on how we can improve the product on the ice and create a winning culture. I love that they have let me construct the roster to reflect our values of creating a team full of professionals on and off the ice. Griffin was a huge addition to our team and once George saw our vision and our goals moving forward, we were able to come to an agreement for the remainder of the season. Its an exciting signing for sure" said Blue Waters General Manager Derrick Eshelman.

Holt, no stranger to the upper ranks of the sport, brings 5 years of professional hockey experience totalling over 150 games in the Federal Prospects Hockey League. After coming off their first win of the season, Head Coach Brian Bjornholm is excited about the opportunity to plug George into the Stars lineup. "We’re thrilled Holt wants to finish the year with us. George is a strong skater with great vision and I'm anxious to see the professionalism he brings to our lockerroom. Griffin had a huge part in our win last week, and there's no doubt once George gets on the ice with him, those guys are going to be trouble for our opposition" said Bjornholm.

The Stars look to build off their most recent win by taking on the Detroit Warhawks on January 6th. They return home January 13th vs. the Muskegon Voyagers, tickets can be purchased at ticketsource.us/blue-water-stars-hockey
